Historical archive | Introduction

The Historical Archive is one of the fundamental elements of our Committee’s project, because its main aim is to offer to the public the most vast choice of informations about the studies and researches on Saint Roch.
In this section you will thus be able to find:

  • The unabridged text of the most ancient Hagiographies about Saint Roch.
  • The photographic reproduction of many important ancient Documents.
  • A few Historical texts  written by the most famous historians of Saint Roch.
  • The Essays written by our collaborators.
  • A series of studies about Medieval History in general.

This section is therefore open to the collaboration of all those who are willing to contribute with their own researches and studies. For informations and similar, please contact Ms. Francesca Rizzi, responsible of the Historical Archive of the Committee [appunti@sanroccodimontpellier.it].

Warning.
- Being ours an International Committee, the essays that we propose are by specialists of various nationalities. Therefore, to respect the author’s rights and copyrighting, each essay is published in its original language, except where explicit directions and/or authorization have been given by the author.
- As for the Hagiographies section, being it made of texts collected from ancient books, it is not possibile due to legal reasons to abilitate visitors to print them, thus it is only possible to visualize online those documents. It is our duty to warn visitors that violators will be persecuted by the texts’ proprietors according to current laws.
