The portal realized by our Committee contains hundreds of pages of text and a vast photographic material, fruit of the collaboration of various people that have gratuitously lent their work, with the purpose to allow a best knowledge of the extraordinary figure of saint Roch.

Every author integrally answers of contents of his own text and maintains every legal right of it; they can use and freely reproduce their texts inserted in this portal, without limitations and according their exigencies.

All of this is valid only for the authors obviously. Use or reproduction - not authorized - by other persons are severely forbidden, and they will be pursued according to civil and penal laws. In such sense, the Committee reserves it to undertake every action to guardianship of the rights of its collaborators, through the Legal Office of the Associazione San Rocco Italia. From this point of view the Committee will follow it the most rigid intransigence, being absolutely unacceptable that other persons appropriate in illicit way the work of researchers that, we repeat it, have cooperated unpaid to this portal.

To avoid disagreeable troubles, with serious legal consequences, we indicate the prescriptions to follow in case of use of the contents of our portal.

·
The written texts can be unloaded by the portal and printed for a private and personal use exclusively. Further reproductions, photocopies and printed matters are severely forbidden.

·
Possible integral or partial reproductions to divulge, have to be always authorize preventively, by the single authors directly or through the Committee. Telephonic or computer addresses are indicated in relative cards.

·
In case of authorization, reproduction of the texts is possible for cultural or devotional motives exclusively. In general, diffusion must have effected in free way, excluding every purpose of profit, direct or indirect, save the exceptions agreed with authors expressly.

·
Quotations of extracts of texts, inside reviews and books, are obviously allowed, following the practice consolidated in academic world and in cultural environments commonly.

·
Photos are of exclusive ownership of the authors and cannot be reproduced, excepted specific accords to define with the authors themselves only and exclusively, but drawing to original material and not from the portal.

In the cases above indicated, if reproduction of the texts has allowed, it’s necessary to signal its source, that is the portal of our Committee. The method to follow is well known by the specialists, but we want to make an example for the people that don't have familiarity with this kind of procedures.

·
Example. If the text to quote or to reproduce is the chapter on the native city of saint Rock, inserted in the historical-biographical cards, the diction to use should be the following:
www.sanroccodimontpellier.it / Paolo Ascagni, "The life in Montpellier and historical context". Internet portal of the «Comitato Internazionale Storico-Scientifico per gli Studi su San Rocco e la Storia Medievale», by «Associazione San Rocco Italia». Text up-to-date to ... [year].

We confirm once more that these prescriptions are peremptory and can be executed scrupulously. We regret to have to assume so rigid attitudes, but we have the duty to protect in the most severe and rigorous way the work, the competence and the professionalism of our collaborators. Besides all of this is necessary not only to guarantee the finalities of the Committee and the intents of the authors, but also to free from every responsibility the people that want to use in corrected way the contents of our portal and to contribute to the attainment of the principal objective of the Committee: to spread more and more in capillary way a rigorous and founded knowledge of the life and the legend of saint Rock and to stimulate further studies about his figure, furnishing a product of historical, scientific and cultural high value to the public.

For further explanations, you can contact the Associazione San Rocco Italia and the Committee, through telephone or computer channels.

“Princeps Rochum ob habitum et squalorem haudquaquam agnoscebat, illumque in carcerem, caeterorum omnium maxime tenebrosum, belli suspicione formideneque compressus detrudi jussit, et custodibus imperavit, ut illum diligenter observarent“ (Francesco Diedo, Vita Sancti Rochi, 1479)
